Aston Villa attacker Leon Bailey may miss the game against Nottingham Forest with a potential Grade 1 hamstring injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that unless he’s back in full training, there’s every chance of him not being cleared to face Nuno Espirito Santo’s side on Saturday evening.
Jacob Ramsey, who is out with a serious injury, is certain to miss the game at the City Ground on 14 December.
Speaking about this situation, Dr Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, told Villa News: “Sounds like a potential Grade 1 hamstring injury based on what the manager has said and he may be out for the weekend if he’s not yet back in full training.
“*The key for getting him out of re-injury is a methodical return to play but it’s really quite difficult during the season, particularly with muscular injuries and even more so with notoriously sensitive hamstring problems for a player who plays at pace.*“
Leon Bailey must avoid entering a re-injury cycle at Aston Villa
Bailey can get stuck in a re-injury cycle as he has in the past and there needs to be changes happening behind the scenes to get him out of it.

Perhaps a different rehab process or better in-game management would ease the condition and ensure the 27-year-old can feature more regularly, although there have not been major concerns this season.
