Chelsea have been relatively lucky this season when it comes to injuries picked up by members of the first team squad.
Club captain Reece James has been arguably the worst affected so far. He is not expected to return to the pitch at any point of 2024.
He has been joined on the treatment table as of late by Wesley Fofana, another player who has a history of long-term injuries before this season.
Fofana himself hinted that his issue may not be as bad as first thought, although Enzo Maresca has said he is set for another few weeks out.
As for the attack, it has been very quiet on the injury front, however there could now be an issue for Joao Felix.

Joao Felix has picked up an injury
The Portugal international has just started making some more regular appearances for the Blues as of late. He started against both Leicester and Southampton in the Premier League.
However, Simon Johnson has stated that although it hasn’t been mentioned by Chelsea as of yet, Felix has a problem which will keep him out of Conference League action this afternoon.
He said: “Yet to be confirmed by the club but hearing Joao Felix has picked up an issue and hasn’t travelled. Academy players on the trip number into double figures.”

This means Felix will not be able to keep up his impressive run in the Conference League so far this season.
Joao Felix ‘different from the rest’
After the game against Villa earlier this month, Maresca described Felix and Cole Palmer as ‘different from the rest’, and the reason supporters pay money.
Maresca has called Felix ‘fantastic’ already this season, and it can be expected that he will begin to start more games in the coming weeks.
Maresca has hinted that playing Felix alongside Palmer is something which could become a regular possibility, especially in games where Chelsea have plenty of control over their opponents.
