Axel Disasi has given Chelsea’s young players some advice and is ready to give them even more.
Chelsea face Astana in the Conference League later and are expected to field a very young side.
While Astana are not the toughest team the Blues will face in the competition, with their opponents playing in the Kazakhstan league, it could be a difficult fixture because of the temperature and all of the travelling the visitors have done.
It was an eight-hour trip from London to Almaty for Chelsea, who face having to play in a temperature of -10ºc. Josh Acheampong is one Chelsea youngster who is set to start at the Almaty Ortalyk Stadium.

Axel Disasi ready to help Chelsea youngsters
At 26 years of age, Axel Disasi is one of the older players in a very young Chelsea squad.
Against Astana, this Chelsea team is likely to look even younger than usual, with Enzo Maresca leaving most of his first team at home.
Going into the game, Disasi has told Acheampong and the club’s other academy players who have been called up to just enjoy themselves and offered to give them more advice if needed.
Speaking in a press conference on Wednesday morning, which has been shared by Chelsea’s official website, Disasi said: “I would say they have to be themselves and just enjoy the moment, don’t feel the pressure and I will be there to help them if they ask for some advice.

“It might not be the best game to start because of the flight and the temperature there but they have the qualities to compete in this kind of game. If they are here, it is because they have that quality so this game will be good for them.”
The central defender did not play in Chelsea’s 4-3 win against Tottenham Hotspur last weekend. However, he did start in the 5-1 victory over Southampton before that and scored in that game.
After it, Disasi revealed that he and Enzo Fernandez had rehearsed his goal, which came from a corner.
Chelsea taking things game-by-game
Chelsea will be expected to win the Conference League this season, while the Blues also find themselves fighting for the title right now.
Maresca’s men are currently second in the Premier League table, just four points behind Liverpool, who still have a game in hand.
However, Disasi says the team are just taking it one game at a time. “We are in a good way but we don’t think about the future,” the Frenchman said. “We just take it game-by-game and will see how it goes.
“We are all happy with the performances of the team now, we can feel the fans are very happy with how we perform, and hopefully we can continue like this.”
