Deco already seems frustrated with questions about the future of €60m Barcelona midfield star

There are only a few weeks left till the January transfer window starts, and one of the main objectives that FC Barcelona will have to meet in this transfer window will be the registration of Dani Olmo with La Liga.

The little time left before which Olmo will have to be registered once again has catapulted this issue back into the headlines, and there is a lot of speculation on this matter despite reports that the Blaugranes are quite calm on this front.

This topic was once again the subject of discussion as Barcelona traveled to Germany last night to face Borussia Dortmund for their UEFA Champions League match. As Diario AS has reported, Deco was asked before the game about Olmo’s registration, and the Barcelona Sporting Director was clearly not too pleased with these questions.

Answering the journalist Ricardo Sierra’s question on the topic, Deco said: “Sure that Barça can register Olmo, the club is working on it, everything is calm… These are internal matters; if not, we would be on television every day talking about it. Don’t worry.”

The journalist then asked about the release clause in Olmo’s contract, to which Deco replied in an annoyed manner: “The player is calm, don’t worry.”

When Sierra explained to Deco that this was a question worth asking, Deco did not agree with him: “We’re here to talk about football, the match, and better things.”

There is no doubt that this was a very important game for Barcelona, and Deco had a point when he asked the journalist to focus on the game.

However, Olmo’s registration is an issue that is generating a lot of speculation, and the Blaugrana fans will definitely be looking to get some answers from the very top to reassure themselves of the €60m-rated Spaniard’s continuity at Barcelona.
