Rob Gronkowski, former New England tight end, recently spoke about how he felt after ghosting Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals quarterback. This happened back in 2022 when Gronkowski retired from professional football and that too for a second time. Since he broke his commitment to retire the first time, many thought he might make a return to the field again, including Joe Burrow.
Burrow was hoping to get Gronkowski into the Cincinnati Bengals and shot him a message. However, Gronkowski did not respond to the message and simply ghosted the Cincinnati QB thinking that it was a scammer. Apparently, ‘Gronk’ had a bad experience with a scammer like this before and did not want to fall in a trap again.
“I see him at [Michael Rubin’s] White Party. We’re hanging out talking. He’s like, ‘Yo Gronk. I texted you, bro. My eyes shot up. I kind of got embarrassed, because, like, I would have text him back if I knew 100% because I’m a big fan, I really am. And I was like, ‘No way, bro. That was you?’ He’s like, Yeah, man, you ghosted me.’ I kind of felt bad because, like, I wanted to respond to Joe Burrow.”Rob Gronkowski said on Tuesday’s episode of The Dan Patrick Show.

While it is certain that Gronkowski’s career as an NFL player ended a long time ago, it gave rise to a new career as an analyst on FOX Sports. Still, it does not look like Gronk’s admiration for Burrow has gone any lower. Who knows what might have happened if Gronkowski had managed to respond to Burrow’s message back then?

Rob Gronkowski Doubtful Of Bill Belichick’s New Gig As College Head Coach
Bill Belichick brought out surprise in many people when it was announced that he is going to coach a college team. The legendary football coach who won eight Super Bowls is going to be head coach for the University of North Carolina, and many had plenty to say about the news. Among them was FOX sports analyst, Rob Gronkowski.

Gronkowski commented that he felt confident that Belichick’s talents and strategies in coaching would definitely help the players. However, there is a vast difference between coaching a professional NFL team, and a college team. For instance, with college team’s there is plenty to do in terms of recruiting, NIL issues and transfer portals. And Gronkowski cannot see Belichick doing coaching, plus all of these activities without getting ‘tired and old’.
