Chelsea Legends to take on Liverpool

Old rivalries will be reignited when Chelsea FC Legends face Liverpool FC Legends on Saturday 22 March 2025.

The match, which will take place at Anfield, will be raising funds for Chelsea Foundation and in particular, the Chelsea Players’ Trust which supports the welfare of those who made the club what it is today.

Twenty years on from the never-to-be-forgotten and record-breaking 2004/05 season, when we claimed our first league championship for 50 years and first-ever Premier League title, along with beating Liverpool in the League Cup final, some of the players who featured in those historic matches will go up against each other once again.

Laura Cordingley, chief executive of Chelsea Foundation, said: ‘Following on from the success of the Legends of Europe which was played in memory of Gianluca Vialli at Stamford Bridge last year, we are delighted to announce the next Legends match which will be raising crucial funds for the Chelsea Players’ Trust.

‘The game will be a celebration of the historic rivalry between both clubs along with a showcase of the fantastic work both organisations play within their local communities and for their former players.’

Ticket information for the match will be announced in due course.
