Julen Lopetegui could drop Carlos Soler from his West Ham starting XI ahead of a trip to face Bournemouth on Monday.

The Spaniard will be keen to build on a win last time out against Wolves with another three-point haul at the Vitality on 16 December.

The Hammers scraped past Gary O’Neil’s side and as a result an attacking change against the Cherries could be made to help create more chances going forward.

This could see Lucas Paqueta return to the starting XI in place of Soler while Jean-Clair Todibo may also come in for Konstantinos Mavropanos.

There is no doubt that the Irons boss is still under pressure but a positive result on the South Coast would certainly improve his job prospects.

In an attempt to do so, Lopetegui is likely to stand by Lucasz Fabianski ahead of Alphonse Areola after another top showing against Wolves.

Ahead of him, Todibo could be welcomed back into the starting XI alongside Max Kilman to be flanked once again by Emerson and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Sitting in front of the defence, Edson Alvarez and Tomas Soucek looked strong against Wolves with the Czechia international getting on the scoresheet while his midfield partner sat further back to help the back line.

With the ex-Ajax man dropping deeper, Paqueta could be handed the chance to start for the first time in two games. Despite a string of positive performances, Soler may drop out to accommodate the Brazilian.

On the wings, Lopetegui could continue with Crysencio Summerville and Mohammed Kudus while Jarrod Bowen looks set to start up front once again.
