During Manchester City’s latest disappointment against Juventus in the Champions League, Kevin De Bruyne was still excellent in Turin.
De Bruyne was praised by fans for his efforts, one of very few Man City players who looked capable of inspiring a comeback.
That being said, De Bruyne’s future beyond the end of the season has often been subject of talk, and there now could even be overtures for his signature next month.
TBR Football understands that San Diego FC are looking to bring De Bruyne to America in January, rather than waiting until the summer.

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah remains a ‘dream target’ for the new MLS side, due to his close ties with San Diego’s primary owner, Sir Mohamed Mansour.
However, that remains a distant option, but De Bruyne is very much in their sights.
San Diego now want to recruit the Belgian ahead of the new season starting in February, and they have already held talks with De Bruyne.
The midfielder is set to leave City at the end of the season and San Diego can make an official offer in January.
Saudi Pro League still fighting to sign De Bruyne
The Saudi Pro League are the biggest rivals for De Bruyne’s signature, and they remain confident of landing him.
However, to get De Bruyne in January they would have to pay for him – which TBR understands they are willing to do.
The question is whether City will sell next month as their initial plan was for him to see out the season in England.
However, with City’s difficulties in recent weeks, they now believe a deal in January is possible – dependent on how much Pep Guardiola’s side demand.
San Diego, who have just made their choices in the 2024 expansion draft, would love to have De Bruyne in place ahead of the launch of their inaugural season in MLS.
