The best theme parks have a habit of turning even naysayers into believers in magic. Grown-ups may find themselves spontaneously dancing, gleefully waving at actors in mascot costumes, and daring to do things they’d never consider otherwise. That suspension of disbelief is what got me climbing onto the Jurassic World “VelociCoaster,” Florida’s fastest and tallest launch roller coaster, on Universal Orlando’s Island of Adventure.
As a safety bar falls tightly over me, I begin to question why I would commit to something so aggressive, so loud and so very upside-down.
