Manchester United have been in the headlines a lot lately.
Ruben Amorim replacing Erik ten Hag generated a lot of coverage – a decision which cost the Red Devils £21.4m in total – before Dan Ashworth left Old Trafford after just 159 days as Sporting Director.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe is also making negative headlines with his cuts on spending, which have seen the Manchester United staff Christmas party cancelled and bonuses changed.
Now – in the latest development – Marcus Rashford is in the spotlight amid rumours Manchester United are looking to sell the England international in 2025, a whisper Richard Keys has just reacted to.
Richard Keys says Manchester United might be stuck with Marcus Rashford
It was the Telegraph who claimed that Manchester United are now ready to sell the 27-year-old.
After reading this story, the beIN SPORTS pundit wrote on X (previously known as Twitter): “United ready to sell Rashford? Who to? He’s on £350,000-a-week.”
It’s a fair point.
The Manchester United No.10 only scored eight goals in 43 appearances last season, form not befitting of a £350,000-a-week footballer.
Rashford also ignored Manchester United fans after the recent 2-0 defeat at Arsenal, heading down the tunnel while Amorim and his teammates applauded the away section, so other clubs may be unwilling to spend heavily on a player with potential attitude problems as well.
How long Manchester United will have to pay Marcus Rashford if buyer not found
TBR Football understand Manchester United are happy with Rashford – and he is keen to impress Amorim with no decision taken on his future right now.
However, if the Manchester United academy graduate fails to become a key man under the Portuguese tactician, the Red Devils would be stuck with him for some time – should a buyer fail to come forward.

Rashford still has four years remaining on the five-year contract extension he signed back in July 2023, with his current terms expiring in June 2028.
Therefore, Amorim will hope his No.10 rediscovers the form which saw him score 30 goals in 56 appearances during the 2022/23 campaign, or Manchester United could have a problem.
