FRISCO - The Buffalo Bills will look to quickly move on from their first loss since Week 4 as they prepare to face the Detroit Lions.
The Bills' loss last week, which came against the Los Angeles Rams, did still include some season-best performances from multiple players on Buffalo's offense. One of those players was Pro Bowl receiver Amari Cooper, the former Dallas Cowboys standout who the Bills acquired prior to the trade deadline.
After missing multiple games with a wrist injury, and having issues developing chemistry with Josh Allen, Cooper had a massive performance on Sunday. He finished with six catches for a season-best 95 yards.
When speaking to media on Monday, coach Sean McDermott gave his honest take on Cooper's big performance.
"I think it's a good sign," said McDermott. "There is a chemistry there that's been born. Is it complete? Probably not. (Allen and Cooper) would probably tell you that. They're still working through some things as you saw in the game yesterday. I think that'll continue to grow. The great part about it is, Josh, we've all seen it, he's going to the receiver that he should go to. He's going through his progressions."

Allen also had a season-best performance in the loss, totaling six touchdowns. He also became the first player in NFL history to throw for three touchdowns and run for three touchdowns in the same game.
Cooper was once worth a first-round pick in trade to Dallas before the Cowboys dumped him to the Browns in 2022. As the Cowboys fade from the playoff picture and "America's Team'' wants something or somebody to watch ... old pal Amari - and his efforts to get "complete'' - might just be on that list.
Allen and Cooper will likely need to build off their newfound chemistry when they travel to Detroit to face the 12-1 Lions on Sunday.
