There have been a number of success stories at Barcelona this season, many thanks to the leadership of Hansi Flick.
One of them is Pedri, the young midfielder who appears to have re-established himself as a key player at Barcelona.
The Spaniard has been one of the most consistent performers at Barcelona this season, forming a solid partnership alongside Marc Casado in midfield.
Pedri: A changed man under Flick
The biggest improvement surrounding Pedri’s game this season has been his physical performance.
It appears the Spaniard has put his injury woes behind him and is now one of the most used players by Flick this season.
Alongside Raphinha, Pau Cubarsi and Jules Kounde, he is one of only four players who have featured in all of Barcelona’s 23 official matches this season.

During this period, Pedri was missing from the starting eleven only on two occasions, which underscores his importance in the team.
With a total of 1722 minutes played, Pedri has already surpassed his tally from the 2021/22 campaign. He is well on his way to breaking his tally from the last two seasons as well.
Apart from his physical game, Flick has also managed to get the best out of Pedri’s tactical play.
The German tactician has been smart in deploying Pedri at the base of the midfield, with support from a positional midfielder like Casado.
This has amplified the midfielder’s output in the middle of the park, which was evident in his recent performance against Borussia Dortmund.
As the season progresses, Pedri’s importance is only going to improve and fans will be hoping that the Spaniard can continue to avoid injuries.
