CHELSEA have started the season in fine fashion under Enzo Maresca and are now firmly in the race for that Premier League title, but they have been told to add some experience to the side when the January transfer window opens up in just a few weeks time.
Chelsea have been big spenders in recent windows, have signed so many players, and been through quite a few coaches, but they seem to have got a man in the shape of Maresca that knows how to get the very best out hos young squad.
They are playing well in Europe, they are sitting second in the Premier League and are playing well enough to get the fans believing that a Premier League title could come their way by the end of the season.
Pundit Ian Wright is intrigued to see if Chelsea can maintain their title push but believes they need a new goalkeeper and ‘experienced centre-back’ to go to ‘the next level’: ‘A goalkeeper and an experienced centre-half takes them to the next level,’ Wright said on his podcast. ‘I think they’re only missing a good goalkeeper and an experienced centre-half.
‘I think the goalkeeper has it in him to drop some points. But Chelsea can just continue as they are, no one is expecting it from then, so we will see what Chelsea and Enzo Maresca are made of later in the season.
‘If they get an experienced guy in the dressing room, they are right amongst it. I keep saying it but watch this space with Chelsea.’

Look, CHELSEA have a world class attack that will win games, but they have a defence that will cost them that Premier League title and need to sort that out in the next few transfer windows.
It is great having all this talent, but a couple of experienced stars would be a great addition to the side.
