Arsenal star defender pledges his commitment to the Gunners

Arsenal star William Saliba made a bold statement on his stay at the Emirates Stadium. The defender feels that he is at home and is in no hurry to part ways with the Gunners. He has been recently linked with a move to some footballing giants.

Saliba who has been one of the best defenders for Arsenal has been majorly linked with Spanish giants Real Madrid. Los Blancos had put tempting offers for the defender but Saliba has plans to compete in the Premier League for now.

William who has been the main man for Mikel Arteta’s team in defence has stated that he currently has no plans to leave Arsenal. The defender had a major contribution in bringing the Gunner close to the Premier League last season

Mikel Arteta has started the Frenchman in almost all the games for Arsenal this season. Saliba has been a main part of Arsenal’s defensive backbone this campaign. He has also received a red card playing in the red and white shirt against Bournemouth.

Real Madrid is one club who are most interested in making a deal with the Frenchman. Los Blancos have had a pretty rough time with injuries this season. These injury problems have particularly left Real Madrid’s defence in shambles and a player like Saliba will be a huge asset.

While talking to the Mirror William said that he is in no hurry to leave Arsenal. He is happy with the club the team, the fans and the management he said-

” Yeah ofcourse i feel at home. Its only my third season and I’m enjoying everything”.

Saliba currently has his contract with the team set til 2027. It is likely the defender will stay with the Gunners at least by the end of this season.

Arsenal’s star centre-back could be a huge asset for Real Madrid

The 15-time Champions League winners have struggled with injuries this season. The team’s defence has been in shambles which has set down the club’s form this campaign. Real Madrid is actively looking to add defensive players to the squad but has been handed the William Saliba shock.

Los Blancos faced their first blow when Euro winner Dani Carvajal was ruled out for the season due to an ACL injury. These concerns only piled up as Eder Militao will be also on the sidelines throughout this season due to another ACL injury.

Raul Asencio is the youngster who has taken up the mantle of a new defensive wall in Real Madrid. The Spanish giants have already extended the contract for the 21-year-old. It is highly likely that the king of Europe will still be on the lookout for additional men in the January transfer window.

Saliba is keen on continuing with Arsenal and is unlikely to leave London at least by the end of this campaign. The centre-back is key in Arsenal’s defence and can play a major role in filling the trophy cabinet for the Gunners.

Arsenal will look to get back on their winning ways to keep their eyes on the title. Arsenal have their next match set up against Everton in the Premier League which is a must-win. Manchester City are trailing by two points closely behind the Gunners who are in the third position with 29 points.
