Ange Postecoglou is under some pressure at Tottenham, and he hasn't been helped by the latest injury news on Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, as the pair could miss out against Liverpool a week on Sunday.
"Not great news about Cristian and Micky unfortunately," Postecoglou said during his press conference ahead of facing Rangers in the Europa League on Thursday. "They've both had setbacks at the weekend so we'll wait and see but they won't be available for the next period of games.
"That affects tomorrow night and that affects us for the next few games so the fact they're the same position affects us even more, especially with Ben [Davies] out in the same position. We're in a bit of a tough spot but a great opportunity for us to overcome the odds and hopefully create something special."
Liverpool could extend its four-point lead at the top of the Premier League table by beating Fulham this weekend. Arsenal hosts Everton at the same time with Manchester City facing Manchester United on Sunday, just before Chelsea vs Brentford.
Kostas Tsimikas, Ibrahima Konate and Conor Bradley are all still injured while it remains to be seen whether or not Diogo Jota will be available again for this weekend. He is back in training but didn't travel to Girona in the Champions League. Arne Slot will offer an update in his press conference tomorrow when he speaks to the media at 9.15am UK time (4.15am ET).
Liverpool.com says: Even with injuries, you just don't know which Spurs will turn up. The flaky one that concedes soft goals left, right and center, or the one that beat Manchester City by four goals away from home?
