Real Madrid were dealt yet another fresh fitness blow as the club confirmed Kylian Mbappe is out with a left thigh injury.
The 25-year-old French superstar was taken off during the game against Atalanta before half-time due to some discomfort.
And even though Carlo Ancelotti insisted that there was no injury after the game tests today confirmed that the star forward has sustained an injury in his left thigh.
Ten days out, two games gone
Following the update from the club, journalist Alberto Pereiro has now reported that Kylian Mbappe is expected to be out for a period of ten days.
As a result of this, the French superstar is now expected to miss two matches for Real Madrid over the said period.

First, the 25-year-old attacker will be out of Saturday night’s La Liga encounter against Rayo Vallecano this week.
On top of that, Mbappe will also miss the FIFA Intercontinental Cup Final set to be played in Qatar next week.
Even though the French ace will travel to Doha for the contest, he will be unable to take the field due to the injury.
As things stand, the idea is for Mbappe to make his comeback from injury in the Merengues’ final La Liga game before the mid-season break against Sevilla.
Mbappe’s injury comes at an inopportune moment considering that he was slowly regaining his form, having scored in his last two appearances against Atalanta and Girona.
The French superstar has come under intense criticism in his first season at Real Madrid and will hope to return from injury quickly and help the team achieve success.
