**Manchester City have offered their support to defender Kyle Walker after he revealed he had been subjected to racist abuse in the aftermath of his side's 2-0 defeat to Juventus.**
City fell to their seventh defeat in ten games courtesy of [goals from Dusan Vlahovic and Weston McKennie](https://www.90min.com/juventus-2-0-man-city-player-ratings-champions-league-11-12-24), with Pep Guardiola's side now facing the significant risk of failing to qualify for the knockout stages of the Champions League.
The day after the defeat, Walker took to social media with a screenshot of a racist message he had received, slamming those responsible and once again calling for support from platforms like Instagram and X.
"No one should ever be subject to the sort of vile, racist and threatening abuse I have received online since last night's match," he wrote. "Instagram and the authorities need to stop this happening for the sake of all who are suffering this abuse. It is never acceptable.
"To our fans, we will continue to work as a team to do better, to improve and to turn the corner together."
