It’s not surprising that Jobe Bellingham is a wanted man, but Sunderland fans should not be too worried about reported interest from Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund.
Sunderland are enjoying a brilliant season so far, and Jobe Bellingham has once again been at the heart of that success for the Black Cats.
Regis Le Bris is building an incredible young squad right now, and Bellingham is one of the key players at the Stadium of Light, but how long he stays there is up for debate.
Recent reports suggest both Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund are ready to move for Bellingham in January, but he may not be interested in either of those clubs.

Jobe doesn’t want to follow the same path as Jude Bellingham
You only have to look at Jude Bellingham’s career path, which saw the prodigious talent move from Birmingham to Dortmund and then to Madrid, to realise that is the exact opposite of what Jobe would want to do in his own career.
The very fact that Jobe requested the Bellingham name be removed from his Sunderland shirt should tell us all we need to know about his motivations for success and his desire to step out of his big brother’s shadow.
While Sunderland fans are fearful they will lose their star man to one of the European giants in the near future, it simply doesn’t make any sense.
Jobe Bellingham wants to carve out his own path in football, and copying Jude’s journey would only lead to more intense comparisons to his sibling, and that would do the Sunderland ace no good at all.

Jobe Bellingham will play in the Premier League next season with or without Sunderland
While this theory may put Sunderland fans at ease for now, it is worth noting that Jobe Bellingham will absolutely, without doubt, end up playing at the top level. Whether he does that with the Black Cats or not is the only thing that is uncertain.
Bellingham continues to dazzle in the second tier with his creative, combative, dynamic displays catching the eyes of plenty of clubs around Europe.

It is now thought Brentford are preparing a plucky bid for Bellingham in 2025, and it does feel like a move to the Premier League is more likely for the Sunderland youngster, rather than an adventure abroad.
Hopefully, Sunderland can keep up their pursuit of promotion from the Championship this season, or they run the risk of facing the 2025/26 campaign without Jobe Bellingham.
