Guiu excellent, Acheampong and Rak-Sakyi shine - Chelsea player ratings in Astana win

Chelsea are through to the UEFA Conference League round of 16 after three points against FC Astana ensured their status in the next round of the competition.

The Blues named an XI with the average age of just under 22-years-old. The bench was made entirely of academy players in what had the feeling of very much a 'one-off' affair in Kazakhstan.

Marc Guiu put the visitors ahead early on in sub-freezing conditions with a fine solo goal. Then, moments later, a Pedro Neto cross was turned in via a combination of Guiu and the defender but it looks to be the Spaniard's goal. UEFA gave the goal - rightly so - to Guiu.

Renato Veiga then made it three not too long before half-time. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall's corner from the right-hand side found the Portugal international inside the box and he headed into the bottom corner.

Marin Tomasov scored just before half-time for the Kazakh team but it proved to be a mere consolation. There were no goals - rather shockingly in the second-half - and the match ended 3-1 to Chelsea.

Below, **Bobby Vincent** rates the Chelsea players out of 10...

**Filip Jorgensen** - Such a quiet night. Nothing he could do for the Astana goal. **6**.

**Josh Acheampong** \- His first senior start for Chelsea. Lovely pass to Pedro Neto for Chelsea's first chance of the game. Just an overall great display from the 18-year-old. **7**.

**Axel Disasi** \- Very comfortable for the Frenchman in defence. He and Tosin Adarabioyo had a lot of passes between them. **6**.

**Tosin Adarabioyo** \- An easy night. Some nice switches. **6**.

**Renato Veiga** \- Looks comfortable and relaxed all the time. Great header for his second goal of the season. Probably needed to be a bit tighter to Tomasov for his goal. **7**.

**Sam Rak-Sakyi** \- Full debut for the Blues. So comfortable on the ball. Plays on the swivel. **7**.

**Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall** \- A nice performance. So much time on the ball. He pops up everywhere. Put in a fine cross to set Veiga up for his goal. **7**.

**Tyrique George** \- Bright on the left-hand side. Unfortunately he was not able to get as involved as Neto on the other wing. **6**.

**Carney Chukwuemeka** \- First start in well over a year. Bright opening; great at drawing fouls. Would have liked to have seen more but understandable given the lack of action he has had over the last year-or-so. Almost looked as if he was trying too hard by the end. **6**.

**Pedro Neto** \- Decent chance around eight minutes in. Set up the goal for Guiu early on and then did it again moments later. A class above most on the pitch. **8**.

**Marc Guiu** \- A fantastic solo goal early on, which would have done his confidence the world of good. A bit more fortunate with the second one but he had to be there. **8.5**.

**Subs**

**Ato Ampah** (on for Neto 46') - His professional debut for the club, coming on at half-time. Explosive. Loves to take on his man at every opportunity. **6**.

**Harvey Vale** (on for Chukwuemeka 67') - Great to see him back in the first-team setup. Almost scored with his first touch. **6**.

**Shim Mheuka** (on for Guiu 78') - Great to see him get his professional debut. **6**.

**Kiano Dyer** (on for Rak-Sakyi 86') - Another Cobham debut! **N/A**.
