Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey reportedly faces an uncertain future at the club. The Ghana international arrived at the Emirates from Atletico Madrid since October 2020.
Partey, 31, has contributed seven goals and five assists in 136 games across competitions for the Gunners. That includes two goals and an assist in 21 outings across competitions this season.
However, with the player's contract running out in the summer, Sami Mokbel of Daily Mail (via AFC Stuff) has reported that it's not a priority for the Gunners to extend Partey's stay. In fact, as per Mokbel, the Premier League giants are looking to sign a new midfielder in the summer, which suggests that the Ghanian might not be at the club next season.
Plagued by injuries during his four-year spell at the Emirates so far, Partey has remained relatively healthy this season, playing a key role in the Gunners' quest to compete across multiple fronts.
The Gunners are third in the Premier League after 15 games, trailing leaders Liverpool (35) by six points. They have also fared well in the UEFA Champions League, where they are third after six matchdays, trailing leaders Liverpool (18) by five points.
Mikel Arteta's side are coming off a convincing 3-0 home win over AS Monaco in the Champions League. Bukayo Saka scored a brace either side of the break, while Kai Havertz drilled home a late third to rubberstamp the win.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta was largely satisfied with his team's performance in the 3-0 midweek home win over AS Monaco in the UEFA Champions League. The victory - as mentioned above - propelled the Gunners to third in the standings.
It was their fourth win in the competition in six games, losing one, scoring 11 times and conceding just twice. Pleased with his team registering a clean sheet, the Spaniard told the club's website:
“I’m very happy – it’s always very difficult to win in the Champions League. 3-0 and a clean sheet puts us in a really good position in the group.
"I’m really pleased as well to see some players that haven’t played that much – Myles (Lewis-Skelly) coming in and having his (full) debut in the Champions League at 18 years old and performing the way he did, it was great."
The Gunners return to Premier League action at the weekend, taking on Everton at home on Saturday (December 22).
