In a major update, AS reports that Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappe will be fit to play in their upcoming FIFA Intercontinental Cup Final next week.
The French superstar injured himself last Tuesday during the first half of the match against Atalanta. After scoring the opening goal in the 10th minute, Mbappe had to be substituted in the 36th minute due to discomfort at the back of his left thigh.
Earlier today, Los Blancos issued a statement confirming the injury, following which it was reported that the 25-year-old will be out for at least ten days, effectively ruling him out of the Intercontinental Cup clash in Qatar on December 18.
There is still hope
However, according to AS, the situation has been tense, yet there is hope. Although he is on the edge, the French superstar will be fit in time to feature in Qatar.
Even though, it was indicated that he would be absent for ten days, Real Madrid have not ruled him out completely.

It will be eight days to the day of his injury when Real Madrid will contest for the Intercontinental Cup on Wednesday and Mbappe will travel to Qatar and is expected to play.
Whether he starts or comes off the bench will depend on the progress of his injury and the decision of coach Carlo Ancelotti.
It must be remembered that back in September Mbappe returned just six days after suffering a left hamstring injury in a match against Alaves.
The injury was expected to keep him out for three weeks, but Kylian managed to return in under one, missing only one game because of it.
And as per AS, he now looks set for another swift recovery. He will not play for Real Madrid against Rayo Vallecano at the Vallecas this weekend, but will be ready for the team’s second title-decider of the season.
