Ruben Amorim may have just given Everton green light to sign £190k-a-week Man United star -…

Everton are about to be taken over by the Friedkin Group.

Alan Myers has predicted the takeover to be finalised next week, so there’s set to be a great deal of change in the coming weeks.

With that said, Everton News can exclusively reveal that Sean Dyche and Kevin Thelwell are likely to leave Goodison Park in the new year.

Dan Ashworth, who has recently left his Sporting Director role at Manchester United, is being eyed by the Friedkin’s.

Whilst that process unfolds, the recruitment team are hard at work identifying a number of potential transfer targets ahead of the January window.

And with that said, Everton may have just been given the green light from Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim to sign a long-term target.

Everton could sign Man United’s Harry Maguire in January

According to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, Manchester United are set to consider sales for over half of Ruben Amorim’s squad.

Amad Diallo, Kobbie Mainoo, Noussair Mazraoui, Matthijs de Ligt, Leny Yoro, Andre Onana, and two to three other key players are considered unavailable.

Other than that, the rest of Man United’s quality-littered squad could be made available this winter, including long-term Everton target Harry Maguire.

Everton tried to sign Maguire in 2023 but Man United turned down their loan proposal, insisting that he would only be sold on a permanent deal.

18 months later, with Maguire very much on the fringes at Old Trafford, The Toffees could reignite their interest and there’s a good chance of landing his signature.

Maguire, who earns around £190k-a-week (per Capology), has started just four league games this season.

Everton should also consider Diogo Dalot

Diogo Dalot is believed to be among the players United would consider selling, so Everton should consider making a bid.

The Toffees need a long-term option at right-back, with Ashley Young approaching his 40th birthday, and Dalot would be the ideal man.

The 27-cap Portugal international can be a little inconsistent but when he’s on it, there are few better in his position across the Premier League.
