In recent years, the United States has become quite synonymous with Barcelona, as far as the pre-season tours are concerned.
The Catalans have travelled across the Atlantic quite frequently in an attempt to further build their brand in the US and generate significant revenue.
This has been going on for the past few years now, with Barcelona already building a solid brand in the country.
Not to mention, they have made significant revenue by conducting high-octane friendlies such as the Clasico.
Barcelona set for Asia tour
However, in a major pivot, Barcelona are ready to ditch the United States in favour of a pre-season trip to Asia next summer.
This is according to Catalunya Radio (h/t Diario SPORT), which suggests that the Catalans are set to embark on an Asia tour for the 2025/26 pre-season campaign.

It has not been decided where exactly Barcelona will conduct the Asia tour, but potential options include Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and even China.
These are some of the destinations Barcelona have travelled to in the past and could revisit again next summer.
Barcelona’s main idea behind a pre-season tour to Asia is that the FIFA Club World Cup is already scheduled to take place in the US next summer.
Therefore, there is no need to host more European matches on US soil, even though Barcelona are not participating in the FIFA Club World Cup.
Hence, the Catalans could explore Asia as a potential destination and expand their networks in key areas such as Japan, South Korea and China, among others.
