Wolves Women motivated ahead of another big derby clash

Following the 14-0 demolition of Shrewsbury Town in the FA Cup, Wolves now turn their attention to their fiercest rivalry on Sunday.

Wolves extended their winning run over Albion to 11 games earlier this season when they battered them 8-0 at the Hawthorns, and with a semi-final spot now up for grabs, McNamara is expecting his side to be as motivated as ever.

He said: “A Black Country derby is a Black Country derby, I don’t think I need to say much more if I'm being honest!

“We have to make sure we are on it.

“I know they will be wanting to put the wrongs right obviously from the eight-nil defeat last time out.

“We have got to make sure we go there and perform.

“The cup is a tough competition to win now with the teams that are in it.

“Of course, we want to do well in it, ultimately, we want to get it back.

“The next stop in that journey is Albion away.

“It will be on a tough astro turf, but we are looking forward to it.

“We go there, and we know it’s eleven players against eleven players. We don’t build the hysteria, we leave that to the fans, we will just concentrate on what we have got to do.

“As I've said, hopefully we can go there and get into the next round of the competition. We’ve got a good history in the competition, so we want to make sure we are doing well year on year and Albion stand in our way this time so we will see how we get on next week.

“It has been a terrific year for the club. Some real highs, some real lows, some great memories made.

“We want to make sure there is another one next weekend and we’re into that semi-final."
