West Ham have been linked with a move for Thomas Frank to succeed Julen Lopetegui.
The Brentford boss is very much in vogue at the moment as his team continue to perform well in the Premier League, and clips of his rousing team talks have gone viral on the internet.
Indeed, the video footage of Frank motivating his players is compelling stuff, and he is clearly a man who excels both tactically and with his man-management skills.

But to suggest he would be remotely interested in the West Ham job is completely wide of the mark.
I’m not even entirely sure that the Danish coach would be on the Hammers’ radar anyway. West Ham are not a club that identifies up-and-coming managers, preferring instead to hire yesterday’s men.
We have a tendency to chase coaches who are well past their peak, as was evidenced with the elongated pursuit of Rafa Benitez long past his sell-by date.
But even if the club were to move for Frank, he’d be mad to join. The Bees boss is onto a good thing at Brentford, who run a very slick operation where everyone knows their roles. West Ham is a club plagued by infighting, overly tenuous board configuration, and beset by behind-the-scenes power battles, as seen this season with Lopetegui and Tim Steidten, and last year with the German director of football and David Moyes.
The Hammers have a number of players looking for a swift exit from the club, and yet another rebuild has been suggested.
Therefore, I wouldn’t spend any time dreaming of the highly impressive Frank turning up at The London Stadium… I suspect he knows he’s better off where he is.
