Everton manager Sean Dyche is under a lot of pressure.
Dyche has lost a large section of the Everton fanbase this season with his side languishing towards the relegation zone.
The former Everton boss is frustrating many with his pragmatic style of play, which has seen the goals dry up.
Everton have won just three of their opening 14 games in the Premier League and look destined to be in a relegation scrap, once again.
So, the Friedkin Group are considering sacking Dyche in the new year and with Dan Ashworth potentially replacing Kevin Thelwell, all roads are now leading towards an out-of-work manager to replace him.

Gareth Southgate could make u-turn on potential retirement plans and join Everton
The Friedkin Group were interested in appointing Gareth Southgate earlier this season but as the takeover dragged on, those rumours dampened.
It looked like the potential appointment was completely dead in the water when Southgate hinted that he could retire from football in a bombshell social media post last month.

But, the former England manager could now make a u-turn on those plans if Ashworth ends up joining Everton.
According to the Daily Mail, the chief wanted to appoint Southgate at Man United but his preference was overruled by the rest of the board, as they went for Ruben Amorim instead.
So, evidently, Ashworth is a huge admirer of Southgate and it wouldn’t at all be surprising if he made the former England manager his number-one target to replace Dyche.
Perhaps Southgate could be convinced to take the job with the appeal of working underneath the former Brighton and Newcastle director.
Southgate already familiar with six Everton players
If Southgate does join Everton, he will already be very familiar with six players.
The 54-year-old worked with Jordan Pickford, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Jarrad Branthwaite, Ashley Young, Michael Keane and James Tarkowski during his eight-year reign as England manager.
So he’d likely be a popular appointment among a large contingency of the senior players.
Southgate’s previous record at youth level would also lend itself well to the Toffees, with highly-rated duo Harrison Armstrong and Roman Dixon vying for a place in the first-team.
Southgate is considered a ‘world class’ manager, as per The Spectator.
