Chelsea star Cole Palmer is attempting to officially trademark his goal celebration in a move which could earn him millions of pounds.
Palmer, 22, has been performing the shivering celebration, which is inspired by former Manchester City youth team-mate Morgan Rogers, since December 2023. By rubbing his hands over his arms whenever he scores, the England international has owned the nickname 'Cold Palmer'.
It's now claimed that the Blues midfielder has submitted an application to the Government's Intellectual Property Office. Documents reveal that Palmer wants to use his celebration in order to sell products including food, alcohol, diet drinks, clothes, toys, aftershave, cosmetics, razor blades and even cars, the Sun report.
Palmer included a video of the celebration in his application, with its most high-profile appearance coming in this past summer's European Championship final. After scoring the equaliser against Spain in Berlin, the 22-year-old ran off with his arms crossed and hands on his triceps.

Fans first saw Palmer pull off the celebration during Chelsea's 3-2 win away to Luton Town last December. The City academy graduate got the idea from Rogers, who performed it after scoring for Middlesbrough before joining Aston Villa.
Palmer wouldn't be the first player to trademark their celebration. Ex-Tottenham and Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale registered both his heart celebration and kit number to form the 'Eleven of Hearts' brand, while while current Madrid star Kylian Mbappe secured the global rights to his folded arms gesture. Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford also trademarked his 'head space' celebration.
We're sure to see Palmer perform the celebration again in the near future, having already scored 11 Premier League goals for Chelsea this season. He bagged a brace in Sunday's 4-2 win at Tottenham, with both of his efforts coming from the penalty spot.

Palmer has now scored 12 successive penalties in the league, breaking the record for the longest successful streak, previously held by City icon Yaya Toure. But Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca hasn't even seen Palmer practicing them.
"Since we started I haven't seen Cole shooting penalties. In terms of the second penalty? It's Cole and you have to expect anything," Maresca revealed
"Yeah, absolutely [it is remarkable]. Cole belongs to that kind of players that are not normal players. They are top players. Top players do things that normal players, or us, say: ‘How can he do that?' It's because he's Cole, it's because he's top. We expect this from Cole."
