AFC Bournemouth once again left it late to take the points in the Premier League, this time leaving Ipswich Town with all the points after a 95th-minute winner coming from O.Dango.
The win lifted the Cherries to 8th in the Premier League table, 19 points clear of bottom-of-the-table Southampton, 15 points ahead of the relegation battle whilst only 3 points behind Manchester City in the Champions League places.
This has left many in the media pondering if AFC Bournemouth could make a push for European qualification, something that this early in the season is not in the mind of AFC Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola, who told Sky Sports…
“I think it was a game we didn’t deserve to lose, We missed clear chances to score in the first half and the beginning of the second we were pushing, and then you start thinking it’s maybe not going to be your day.
“We needed fresh energy and fresh minds from the subs.”
“You can take a picture of the standings if you want, just in case we’re not there, but I won’t look too much. I am confident in this team because we are being competitive. Let’s hope we can continue playing the same way.”

The first half did look as though we were suffering from the much shorter gap since the last game.
But by golly second half second wind, whatever the tactical ins and outs, the fitness and stamina levels shown by the boys was outstanding.
Is there a fitter team in the PL, the conditioning levels are superb, and much praise is due there.

They had a great first half but couldn’t match our energy levels in the end. Kluivert looked really p!ssed of to be subbed and I wonder if it was because Tav was so obviously knackered that he needed to come off. TI can’t say we were great but luckily their keeper really is dire and basically created our first goal.

Zabarnyi 10 out of 10, my MOM. Kepa deserves credit he looks good now his confidence is going up. Kerkez did well in making Hutchinson look average at best.
All of the subs were very good, I was complaining about Dango just before he whipped in that cross to equalize.

What a time to be an AFCB fan….really!!
An excellent away trip…. Great atmosphere in The Station pub Garden Bar…fab warm up for the match…having huffed and puffed for 45 minutes with a distinctly average showing and conceding a sloppy goal to be behind…we turned it around in another late late show…we went absolutely wild and the euphoria was brilliant..
Can anyone confirm that I have seen The PL table and we are three points off the top four?

Just got back to our hotel room. Hardly any pubs here are open until 10.30 on a Sunday and I only just arrived in time for a celebratory curry at 8.30!
Do pubs still shut early on Sunday at home? I’m never out late enough to find out.
Still, another three points, not our greatest performance of the season but again created numerous chances.
Some players had better games than others but the celebrations and points prove that don’t really matter.
