Player set for winter return to Wolves – Move hasn’t worked out well for him

Nathan Fraser graduated from Wolverhampton Wanderers’ youth system and only made a few appearances for their senior team.

In order to let the striker continue his development, the Premier League side allowed him to join Zulte Waregem on a loan deal in the summer window.

According to Walfoot, the temporary move has clearly not worked out well for the Wolves man and the Belgian club.

The 19-year-old has been limited to 93 minutes from five appearances in all competitions for Zulte Waregem. This includes 33 minutes from four league matches.

Fraser hasn’t started a game for the lower division Belgian side and the report says this is a ‘serious setback’ for him.

Zulte Waregem were hoping for him to impress during his season-long loan spell but that hasn’t happened. Therefore, they have consulted with the player and Wolves to cut short his loan stay.

The Belgian club took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to state that the Republic of Ireland U19 international couldn’t immediately ‘make his mark’ at Zulte Waregem. Therefore, he will return to Molineux.

Gary O’Neil and Wolves have to decide whether to include him in their squad or send him out on loan again in January.
