Things are not looking good for Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham, who have won just once since beating Aston Villa at the start of November. One former Lilywhite has had enough and thinks it’s time for a change.
Jamie O’Hara urges Tottenham to sack Ange Postecoglou and hire Thomas Frank
In a recent talkSPORT appearance, former footballer turned pundit Jamie O’Hara urged his former club Tottenham Hotspur to dismiss Ange Postecoglou and put Thomas Frank in charge.
Jamie O'Hara urges Tottenham to sack Ange Postecoglou and hire Thomas Frank
“If Ange Postecoglou keeps playing in the same way, then I’m afraid he’ll have to go, I’m sorry but Daniel Levy will have to get rid of him. You can’t go on with that football and style of defending any longer.
“I love Thomas Frank and I’d have him at Spurs every day of the week if Ange left. I think he’d be a great fit as Tottenham’s manager if we could get him out of Brentford. He’s been brilliant there and if Ange does leave – he’d be someone I’d look at.”

Their recent draw at Rangers in the Europa League means Tottenham have just one win in their last eight games. While injuries have played their role, we cannot hide behind that for long if results fail to pick up. Especially given the fact that managers such as Jurgen Klopp have navigated injury crisis with far better pragmatism in recent times.
Thomas Frank has been mooted as a potential replacement for many a manager in the top half of the table. He was recently linked with the Man United job after Erik ten Hag was given his marching orders from Old Trafford.
TTLB Opinion
Thomas Frank has established himself as a shrewd operator in the Premier League. At a well-run club like Brentford, the Dane has been flexible enough to understand when to brace the opposition’s attack and when to launch an offensive of his own. His Bees are known both for their sting and their perseverance.
Postecoglou, on the other hand, is more than happy to die on the hill of his footballing dogma. It is an admirable stance, of course, and while one can cherish him for who he is, Tottenham need to relieve him for that exact reason. They, after all, run a results-oriented business, and there’s simply too much romance in their corner for their own liking.
