After missing the last three games with a hamstring injury, Gabriel appears set to return to the Arsenal defense against Everton.
Having not been sighted since the first half of Arsenal's win over West Ham, defender Gabriel Magalhaes is getting closer to a return, according to the Daily Mail.
With the Gunners doing well in the Brazilian's absence, Mikel Arteta's return will be a welcome one, given that his side's games are now coming thick and fast.
Given how much Arteta wants his squad to get healthy, it is a timely boost as the Gunners aim to chase down league leaders Liverpool.
The good thing for Arteta is that Jakub Kiwior has stepped in well for Gabriel, and while it isn't the commanding presence at corners or the physical beast the Brazilian is, he has played within his wheelhouse, and we haven't really noticed a major drop-off in performance form Arteta's back four.
In fact, in the three games that Gabriel has been out with his reported hamstring injury, Arsenal has conceded just one goal - to Fulham, so that bodes well for the Gunners' squad depth.

Gabriel's reported return will be music to Arteta's ears as the Gunners have to play four games in the next 13 days between December 15 and December 28 before a "rest" of sorts until they face Brentford on January 2.
So, any players that Arteta can get back, and fully fit will be a bonus.
Given that Arsenal have paid for their poor form prior to the international break that saw then go win-less in four straight games, now Arteta's team is playing a dangerous game of catch-up as it leaves them little to no margin for error, and that was felt in the 1-1 draw with Fulham.
Up next is an Everton team that sits 15th in the table and has just one win from their last five games and only three wins in the league this season.
So, while on paper, this seems like a game that the Gunners should be winning, and comfortably, as we have seen so many times this season if teams aren't on their details, they can be got at - even at home.
Having the impending return of Gabriel significantly reduces that risk for Arsenal, but he has missed a bit of football, and he might not be 100 percent from the get-go, but having the Brazilian back is great, no matter in what capacity.
