Nobody was more delighted with the FA Cup third round draw than Andy Woodman.
The Bromley boss declaring “I have a real deep affection for Newcastle, it means everything to me.”
Andy Woodman spent five years as a coach at St James’ Park, brought in by Alan Pardew.
Now set to make a return as a manager in the opposition dugout.
Bromley have taken a ticket allocation of 4,900 for this St James’ Park match, more than any home attendance this season so far.

_“It’s going to be nice to go back to a club where I have so many fond memories._

_“People will argue that they haven’t won much but it’s such a brilliant club._
_“The passion that runs through the place and the whole city is brilliant. I have a real deep affection for Newcastle, it means everything to me._
_“To get a draw like Newcastle, it’s dreamland, isn’t it?”_

**Andy Woodman asked if he ever envisaged himself stepping up to be Newcastle United manager during his time there as a coach:**
_“Probably not._
_“You get to a stage where you think: ‘This is me now’._
_“You’re always looking to evolve and an opportunity to dip your toe into the management side of things._
_“It just had to be the right opportunity._
_“It came along with Bromley and it’s not gone too badly.”_
