Benoit Badiashile hasn’t been a regular at Chelsea this season.
The Frenchman did start against Tottenham Hotspur at the weekend, but it was only his fourth Premier League appearance. He has mainly been used in the UEFA Conference League, starting all four games in the group stages of the competition.
Two weeks ago, it was suggested that the player is growing frustrated at Chelsea and some clubs had made contact for him.
There is now an update from France about the centre-back, with RMC Sport reporting that Chelsea are ‘closing the door’ on Badiashile’s January exit.
There is no shortage of suitors for the player, who himself isn’t entirely happy at Stamford Bridge.
Juventus are an interested party, but the Frenchman is all but set to stay at the London club despite being behind Levi Colwill and Wesley Fofana in the pecking order under Enzo Maresca.
The feeling is that while the 23-year-old hasn’t fully convinced Maresca, he has shown enough be be used as a squad option this season.
Interest from the Bundesliga has also been reported in the past but interested clubs will now have to wait until the summer.
