The key trio are all entering into the final six months of their respective deals on Merseyside and the concern for supporters is the possibility of them all leaving next summer on free transfers.
Both Salah and Van Dijk have been linked with moves to Saudi Arabia, while talk of Real Madrid swooping for Alexander-Arnold has ramped up following a season-ending injury for Dani Carvajal.
In January, the Liverpool trio - as things currently stand - will be able to officially speak to potential suitors outside of England and possibly even sign a pre-contract agreement which would come into effect in the summer.
The only way to prevent that scenario is if Salah, Van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold commit their futures to the Premier League leaders by signing new contracts by December 31, at the latest.
Slot - who on Friday was named as the Premier League’s manager of the month for November, while Salah took the player award - is staying rather calm about the situation despite the prospect of three key players potentially being in talks with other clubs in the near future.
“It doesn’t worry me, we just accept the situation as it is,” Slot told reporters. “It’s the same situation as it is, but they play at a really good club and they’re doing really well at the moment. So hopefully we can keep it for a long time like this.”

Uncertain futures: Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk are all out of contract at Liverpool next summer
Of the trio, Salah has certainly been the most vocal about his contract situation as he’s dropped several hints about this being his last season with Liverpool while also previously revealing in public that he had not been offered a new deal.
“Well, we are almost in December and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay in the club,” he said after the 3-2 win over Southampton last month. “I’m probably more out than in.
“You know I have been in the club for many years. There is no club like this. But in the end it is not in my hands. As I said before, it is December and I haven’t received anything yet about my future.”
