It has been a busy lunchtime for Everton fans who have heard the development surrounding the club’s takeover.

Farhad Moshiri’s time as the owner of Everton is now coming to an end with the finish line in sight for the new prospective owners.

On Friday morning, it was suggested The Friedkin Group had received Premier League approval to close the final steps of their takeover deal.

It has been a whirlwind week on Merseyside – literally – with the Toffees having not played for over a week now.

However, Everton fans are now going to have something to cheer about on Saturday against Arsenal, regardless of the result.

Everton takeover approval includes 777 settlement

One journalist has suggested Everton are still awaiting final Premier League approval for the Friekdins to secure their takeover.

However, there is a strong belief from those close to the club that it is now just a formality the deal will go through.

And taking to social media, The Esk has suggested the development on Friday includes a settlement with A-Cap and 777 Partners.

‘The approval granted by the Premier League for the Friedkin takeover means that the financial plans which have been part of the proposed takeover have been agreed & accepted,’ he said on X.

‘This will include settlement of A-Cap/77 & recapitalisation of the club. Fantastic news.’

The Friedkin’s have exciting plans for Everton with the new owners looking set to arrive just before the January transfer market opens.

But it may not be all good news for everyone at the club with Everton expected to sack Sean Dyche in the New Year.

There’s a huge difference between The Friedkin Group and 777 Partners

There was a stark difference between The Friedkin Group and 777 Partners in how they approached their takeover negotiations.

The Friedkins have provided a much more professional and discrete style to their desire to purchase Everton.

And that is something which will have fared them well in there efforts to receive Premier League approval.

Although there is yet to be any official word on Friday’s development, it seems it is time for Everton fans to get excited.
