Everton fans will have been wrapped up in their takeover development on Friday, but there is still a game to play on Saturday.
Sean Dyche’s side have not taken to the pitch since Wednesday last week where they won convincingly against Wolves.
Despite not playing over the weekend, Everton have been able to maintain a five-point gap on the bottom three.
Spirits at Goodison Park will be high over the weekend following The Friedkin Group’s Premier League approval on Friday.
But the players are going to be up against it on Saturday when they make their trip to face Arsenal in the capital.
It will be a reunion for former Everton midfielder Mikel Arteta who spoke to the media about the takeover update to emerge ahead of his press conference.

What Mikel Arteta said about Everton’s takeover
The Merseyside Derby was postponed on the weekend providing Everton with an opportunity to take stock of their underwhelming start to the season.
However, Dyche’s side are going to have to get their heads back in the game as they come up against the team sat third in the league.

The big news of the day was discussed during Arteta’s press conference with the manager having connections to the Toffees.
“Whatever happens, they [fans] are there, you know, and that’s not easy, and that makes them really, really special,: Arteta said about the fans.
‘Hopefully, that will help them give them stability with a new stadium, it’s unbelievable as well. So a lot to be excited about.”
Although some are still suggesting The Friedkin Group are waiting for final approval, it seems it is now just a matter of time before it is complete.
Big changes could be heading the way of Everton and Arteta is clearly delighted for his former club.
Everton can’t afford to dwell on takeover news
The news coming out of Merseyside on Friday is massively positive for the club, however, there is no time to dwell on it.
Everton are coming into the game on Saturday slumped in 15th spot of the table and the Friedkins will not be impressed by their relegation battle.
The Friedkin Group have exciting plans for Everton and that could well mean there are a host of players at the club now playing for their futures.
Although they will be coming up against superior opposition on Saturday, Everton’s players cannot afford to accept another significant defeat.
