Sean Dyche has spoken openly about the impact Jack Harrison has made at Everton since his loan arrival from Leeds United.
Harrison has struggled for form at Goodison Park since arriving although Everton have no intention of terminating his loan (Harry Watkinson).
The Leeds United loanee was labelled as “woeful” for what he did in Everton’s hammering of Wolves on 4 December but Dyche still has high hopes for the 28-year-old.
In his pre-Arsenal press conference, as quoted by Leeds United News (13 December), Dyche said: “He is still working hard, he’s a very honest professional, and just trying to find those moments for him.
“I think he works so hard in training. He’s so honest and if anything he’s a player, and I’ve had this with Dwight McNeil, that puts too much pressure on themselves.

“Sometimes you’ve got to release that and maybe there’s a bit of that when he gets out there, to find that enjoyment in what it is and not get so tight, especially in the top third of the pitch. He works very hard and is a top professional and a very important part of the group.”
Everton need to see more from Jack Harrison
Harrison isn’t the only player to have severely underperformed for the Toffees this season, in fact, the same could be said about the overwhelming majority of the squad.
But with the 28-year-old, things have been particularly disappointing with him yet to register a single-goal contribution in 13 Premier League appearances.
His lack of influence in the final third has seen him move to the fringes of the side with game time becoming increasingly more limited.

Perhaps that is what is needed to get the best out of him. A spell out of the team for him to realise he needs to do more if he wants to play games and even more if he wants to secure a permanent stay at the club.
Most of Everton’s downfall can be put down to a lack of cutting edge in the final third with Harrison one of several players unable to impact that but Dyche’s comments showcase the confidence he has in him to turn things around.
