Man Utd face Manchester City in the Premier League fixture on Sunday afternoon.

Ruben Amorim will be looking to get one over Pep Guardiola again as he takes charge of his first derby clash on Sunday afternoon, with the new United head coach expected to rotate his team for the match.

Maguire was one of those rested as United came from behind to beat Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League on Thursday night and he will have to be careful if he is reintegrated into the starting line up this weekend. Bernardo played the entirety of City's defeat to Juventus in the Champions League and was also booked in that match as well.

Maguire has been booked four times in the Premier League so far this season and will be handed an automatic one-match ban if he is cautioned again this weekend. The 31-year-old has been booked in half of his Premier League appearances so far this season, having picked up a yellow in the recent defeat to Arsenal as well as against Fulham, Southampton and Aston Villa. Bernardo has been booked in the wins over Nottingham Forest and Fulham as well as the home draw with Arsenal and the home thrashing at the hands of Tottenham.

Premier League rules state any player who receives five yellow cards within their club's opening 19 games of the campaign must serve a one-match suspension. United have played 15 times in the league so far this season, meaning Maguire must avoid a yellow card in matches against Man City, Bournemouth, Wolves and Newcastle before the threshold is raised to 10 bookings for the remainder of the season. Bernardo must avoid another yellow against United, Aston Villa, Everton and Leicester.
