Arne Slot to sit down with Liverpool ace as Anfield future hangs in the balance.
The Reds’ potential move for Mastantuono reflects their strategy of building a sustainable future.
The Merseysiders will join the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Chelsea in a bid to sign the River Plate prodigy; however, the report states that Arne Slot & Co. are in pole position to land Mastantuono, who will set the Merseysiders back in a range of €45 million to €50 million depending on when they make an intensified approach for the player’s signature.
Franco Mastantuo has been among the headlines of late following his debut for River Plate at sixteen (16), and while he is yet to become an undisputed starter for his current employers, the teenager has already amassed over 1,500 minutes under his belt with 40 appearances donning the River Plate badge. The 17-year-old has also chipped in upfront with four goals and laid off three assists.
Bringing in a highly acclaimed talent like Mastantuono will not only bolster options in the middle of the park for the long term at L4 but also serve as a statement of intent from the hierarchy at Anfield Stadium as they look to evolve in the ongoing transfer market.
However, with multiple elite sides revolving around the player, it is to be seen if Liverpool are able to secure his signature.
