Everton have some big decisions to make ahead of the January transfer window with change on the horizon at Goodison Park.
It has been over a week since Everton were last in action with the players having had plenty of time to prepare for this weekend’s game against Arsenal.
Although the Toffees’ last outing was a 4-0 victory over Wolves, the break will have come as a welcome one for some of their struggling players.
Sean Dyche admitted Everton were desperate to play Liverpool before the game’s postponement last weekend.
So there will now be an expectation for the Everton players to be raring to go against Arsenal on Saturday.
But Dyche has suggested another of his players could well be regretting the comments he made over the summer ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.

What Sean Dyche said about Everton’s Jack Harrison
It really has been a dismal start to the season for Jack Harrison who was retained on loan by the Toffees over the summer.

Even in their emphatic win over Wolves, Everton fans criticised Harrison’s display suggesting he was the only negative.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, Dyche assessed Harrison’s season so far, admitting he may have put too much pressure on himself.
“He’s still working hard. He’s a very honest professional, a very good professional. Just trying to find those moments for him because he works so hard in training, he’s so honest,” said Dyche.
“If anything – he’s like Dwight McNeil – he puts too much pressure on himself and sometimes you’ve got to release that and find some enjoyment in that and not get so tight in the top end of the pitch.
“There’s no two ways about it, if you look at his stats, he’s capable of goals and assists.”
Although the winger is enduring his struggles, Everton will not return Harrison to Leeds in January as they will offer him a chance to return to form.
But with the new owners on their way to Merseyside, Harrison is going to have to seriously up his game if he wants to earn himself a permanent move.
Jack Harrison’s summer target for Everton
Harrison is yet to register a single goal or assist for Everton this season and has recently been dropped to the bench.
Jamie Carragher has been left feeling sorry for Harrison at times this season suggesting the £90k-per-week winger is just not enjoying any luck.
However, he certainly put the pressure on himself earlier in the year when he publicly spoke about his target of hitting double-figure goals and assists for the season.
“I’d have liked to contribute more goals and assists. If I can have 10 goals and 10 assists, it’s a good season. But there’s a lot more that goes into the game,” he told The Athletic.
Perhaps Dyche is right and Harrison was being too ambitious, but he now finds himself needing to earn the manager’s trust enough to return to the starting XI.
