Brighton want £100m for Joao Pedro amid Chelsea and Liverpool interest
TBR Football understands that Brighton would demand close to £100million for star striker Joao Pedro, but they have no plans to let him leave in the near future.
Pedro has been on of the stars of the Premier League so far this season with seven goal contributions from his seven starts.
He missed most of October through injury, but he has returned to action and form in the last month.
Still only 23, Pedro is held in huge regard by a number of sides from across Europe.
TBR Football can now reveal that Pedro’s list admirers is large.
Newcastle United are long-term admirers, indeed they tried and failed to land him from Watford before Brighton, and the North East giants remain keen on him.
However, the number of clubs who are keeping close tabs on Pedro has grown exponentially this term.
TBR Football understands that Liverpool have watched him closely and is held in high regard by Reds chief Richard Hughes – who liked him during his time at Bournemouth.
We can also reveal that Chelsea – who are looking to added another striker to their ranks in 2025 – have been impressed with Pedro’s progress at Brighton.
Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are also admirers of Pedro, and we understand Brighton are fully aware of the increased interest.
However, they are comfortable knowing that they have him contracted to 2028 and they always believed the Brazilian international.
As they have proven on more than one occasion in recent year, Brighton will only allow a player to leave on their terms.
They achieved £100million from Chelsea for Moises Caicedo last year, and we are told by sources that to land Pedro, it would take a similar amount.

What Pedro could bring to Chelsea and Liverpool
Adrian Clarke recently wrote an in-depth scouting report about Pedro on the Premier League website.
“Joao Pedro has the versatility to operate in different areas of the forward line,” he began.
“He is quick and bright with his movement, possesses an eye for a pass and can also dribble past players with ease.
“Since joining Brighton though, it is his intuition which has improved the most.
“Joao Pedro has become a natural poacher having developed a real eye for where the ball might fall inside the box.”
Clarke then wrote: “There is no doubt that Joao Pedro has one of the coolest temperaments among Premier League forwards.
“He consistently displays an ice-cool nerve from the penalty spot, scoring all but one of his five spot-kicks in the Premier League.
“And this season he is translating that quality into his open-play finishing too.”
