Dyche has a big challenge ahead of him over the coming weeks with Everton facing some seriously tough opponents.

But he did admit on Thursday, during his own press conference, that he has held a meeting with Kevin Thelwell about potential January signings.

“Yeah, but as I said recently, the current situation wouldn’t allow much to be done anyway. Because that’s the nature of what the situation of the club is financially,” said Dyche.

“That may change, we will just have to wait and see.”

“You’ve got to wait and see what the new owners want to do should they come and take the club, which is looking very possible that it’s going to happen.”

Sitting so close to the relegation zone, the January transfer window is looking like a big opportunity for Everton to get ahold of their Premier League status.

The irony is the Friedkins are expected to sack Dyche and Thelwell in the New Year once they get their feet under the table.
