While Flick is set to watch Barcelona’s next two games, against Leganes and Atletico Madrid, from the stands - Sanchez will be out for considerably longer.

Diario Sport are reporting he’s been hit with a hefty four-game touchline ban for his behaviour last time out against Celta Fortuna.

Sanchez has been sanctioned for “confronting and insulting the fourth official” at the end of the [game that resulted in a 2-2 draw](https://www.barcablaugranes.com/2024/12/8/24316151/watch-dani-rodriguez-dazzles-with-brilliant-double-for-barcelona-atletic).

The Barca Atletic boss wasn’t actually shown a red card at the time “but it was later communicated to both team delegates” that he had been sent off.

The RFEF have now confirmed that Sanchez has been banned in their latest disciplinary update posted on their website.

“Four matches of suspension for insults, verbal offenses and insulting attitudes to the main referee, assistants or fourth official, with an accessory fine of 180 euros to the club, and 1,200 euros to the player, in application of article 52 CD (Article: 123).”

Barcelona Atletic’s next game is later today against Osasuna B.
