Barcelona hope to raise €20 million from their 2025 pre-season tour spanning three Asian…

Even though we are yet to reach the midway point of the 2024/25 season, developments about Barcelona’s plans for 2025/26 already emerging.

There have been leaks of kit designs for the upcoming campaign while there is also significant development in the Catalans’ pursuit of one of their key targets for next summer – Jonathan Tah.

Now, there is some important information filtering through about Barcelona’s plans for the pre-season tour before the 2025/26 term kicks off.

Barcelona to fly to Asia for pre-season

Unlike the past few years, Barcelona will not travel to the USA for pre-season in 2025. Instead, as per journalist Ramon Salmurri on Catalunya Radio, the Blaugrana will carry out their preparations for the next in Asia.

In fact, as per the report, the idea is for Barcelona to visit three countries – Japan, South Korea, and China, and play one match in each location.

It would also mean that the recent tradition of pre-season El Clasico encounters against Real Madrid will be coming to an end next season.

Barça have grand plans for their pre-season tour of Asia and the hope is that they can generate a hefty revenue worth around €20 million from the excursion.

Such a financial boost will be a welcome one for the current La Liga leaders given their existing economic situation.

The plan is still coming together and more details about the pre-season tour should emerge in the next few weeks.

But, as things stand, Barcelona will be touring Japan, South Korea, and China for the pre-season in 2025, instead of the United States of America.
