Manchester United under Ruben Amorim have had a rather mixed start with some good results interwoven with a few disappointing losses.
However, the Portuguese tactician looks to be trying to drill in a new set of ideas to the players.

Amorim came from Sporting CP and brought the 3-4-3 formation with him. It is a tactical setup that served him so well at the Portuguese club and why fix it, when it isn’t broken? Understandably though, the current Man Utd players need some time to adjust to the same.
However, as much as trying to make the current players fit into his system could help in the long run, it cannot happen alone without transfer market reinforcements. Man Utd need to bring in the right kind of profiles for this tactical setup.
However, they have been dealt a cruel blow after it emerged that as per The Athletic, sources close to Bayern Munich superstar Alphonso Davies have revealed that the upheaval at Man Utd and their current lack of involvement in the Champions League is making the player disinterested towards the club.
Man Utd unsurprisingly are interested in signing him but it is worth remembering that the Canadian has won every trophy there is to be won in Germany, has tasted UCL success, UEFA Super Cup and even the Club World Cup.
Thus, he could think of the Red Devils as a sideways transfer at best and a downgrade at worst.
If the Manchester-based club managed to convince him to join them, this would without a doubt be a solution the left-back woes that have plagued the team for the better part of the last couple of seasons.
At this point though, it seems a fairly ambitious attempt and not realistic that Davies joins Man Utd as a free agent at the end of the season.
However, stranger things have happened in football and let’s wait and see how it actually plays out.
