The report suggests that United’s decision to speed up talks over a new deal for the defender stems from the interest from elsewhere.
Martinez is currently contracted to the Manchester outfit until the summer of 2027, which puts United under very little pressure to sell the Argentine any time soon.
It is also claimed that those in charge of United view the Argentina international as a key player for the club, who they intend to keep hold of long-term.
