ANDONI Iraola issued an update on Luis Sinisterra’s return from injury after Marcus Tavernier was ruled out for an ‘extended period of time’.

While not giving an expected return date, Iraola said Sinisterra’s recovery ‘hadn’t gone as quickly as they would have liked’, with the boss saying he hopes he’ll be back soon after Tavernier was ruled out.

The Colombian has been out since the [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/) trip to Aston Villa in October, with Iraola confirming in November that he had suffered a set back leading into the international break.

But with the club confirming that Tavernier would have a spell on the sidelines, Bournemouth are looking a little thinner on the ground.

The boss was asked how Sinisterra’s recovery was going at his pre-West Ham press conference.

“He's not probably going as quick as we wanted and definitely he will not be ready for Monday, but should be the next one to recover,” he said.

“And I hope he comes into the team because now, especially with Tav’s \[Marcus Tavernier\] injury, I think we will need him.”
