After booking our place in the FA Youth Cup fourth round with victory over Leicester City, our Under-18s will face non-league opposition at home next in the competition.
The Blues triumphed in our opening match of this season's FA Youth Cup with a dramatic third-round comeback away at Leicester. Having gone two behind in the first half, Kiano Dyer pulled one back before half-time, then Shumaira Mheuka and Kobe Barbour found the net in the final 10 minutes to complete a memorable win.
Following that victory, it has been confirmed that we will face the winner of Merstham and Burgess Hill Town in the fourth round, with those two teams meeting for their third-round tie on the evening of Wednesday 18 December.
Our fourth-round match will be played at Kingsmeadow on or before Saturday 18 January. The confirmed date, kick-off time and ticket details will be announced in due course.
Chelsea entered the FA Youth Cup in the third round proper, along with all Premier League and Championship teams. However, Merstham and Burgess Hill, who both play their men's football in the Isthmian League, already have six wins each this season, having begun their campaigns in the preliminary round.
