Sunday's Manchester derby will be the toughest test of Ruben Amorim's reign so far, with the manager desperate to avoid losing bragging rights.
But his focus will also be on the upcoming January transfer window, with the next three weeks offering the chance to fully assess his squaqd. One player who seems to be edging towards an exit is Marcus Rashford.
The attacker has been desperately poor over the past two seasons, with Jamie Carragher now urging Amorim to get ruthless and sell the Englishman. Amorim does look set to keep hold of Andre Onana though.
The keeper made another awful error in the win over Viktoria Plzen, but has retained the backing of his manager. Here, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest Manchester United transfer news.
Onana hint dropped
Ruben Amorim will not be on the search for a new keeper in January, the Manchester United boss has hinted. Onana made a huge error to gift Viktoria Plzen a goal in midweek, but Amorim has now backed the Cameroonian.
"We have to take it like it is. He had already in the past a situation like that. So we have to work on this. If you see the play, we are trying to build up a lot with the goalkeeper making the balls with Matthijs de Ligt a lot of times," he said on Friday.
This time we have a disconnect a little bit during the play and when we try this, we suffered a goal, a difficult goal for us in the start of the second half. But we managed, not like against Nottingham Forest. We managed to help Onana, like he did in the past for us."

Manchester United chiefs have been told to up their bid for Southampton wonderkid Tyler Dibling. The 18-year-old has impressed for the Saints despite their awful season, but boss Russell Martin has insisted United will have to pay far more than £21m for him.
"I was told some rumours about Man Utd, one was a bid of £21m. I'm not sure you'll get his left foot for that. We have offered him a contract, a really good contract for someone his age. At the minute, I don't think his agent agrees, so that's where we're at," Martin said.
"I think Tyler wants it done, I think Tyler's parents want it done, so we'll see how long that takes. There is an option. We can extend. I don't think we want to do that - we want to reward Tyler for his performances."
United boss Amorim has been told to sell Marcus Rashford. Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has insisted the attacker is no longer performing to the standards expected of a player with his lucrative contract.
“Given how many signings have dropped in value since joining United, it does not surprise me that big names such as Marcus Rashford are being linked with a move. United should sell him as he is not delivering value for his lucrative contract." he told the Telegraph.
"Eleven goals in his 48 league appearances over the past 18 months is not good enough. There has been too much of a pantomime around Rashford for the last few seasons, the promise he showed when breaking into the side not realised. He is 27 now and should be in his prime."
