Chelsea are ready to lock horns with Liverpool for the services of Milos Kerkez, according to Football Insider. The Hungarian left-back has caught the eye with Bournemouth this season, registering one goal and two assists from 15 games.

Andrew Robertson will turn 31 in March and the Reds are laying down succession plans for him. The Scot has been a key figure under Arne Slot this season, recording one assist from 20 games across competitions.

Robertson's contract at Anfield will expire in 2026 and Kerkez could be a fine successor. However, Liverpool will face competition from the Blues in the race for the 21-year-old.

Lately, the London giants have targeted younger talents in the transfer market and Kerkez fits the bill. Chelsea are likely to offload Ben Chilwell in 2025 and would want the Hungary international to take his place.

Kerkez could also provide cover for Marc Cucurella and compete with him for a place in the starting XI. However, Bournemouth are adamant that the player will not leave in January.

Kerkez is under contract at the Vitality Stadium until 2028, so the Cherries are under no pressure to let him go. Meanwhile, Bournemouth are also on the rise under Andoni Iraola and are determined to keep their squad intact in January.

However, they might struggle to keep hold of their prized asset next summer. Kernez is apparently flattered by interest from Chelsea and Liverpool and is open to a move.

Liverpool have identified Malo Gusto as a possible replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold, according to Chelsea insider Simon Phillips. Alexander-Arnold's contract with the Reds will expire in June 2025 and he hasn't signed an extension yet.

The Merseyside club's efforts to tie him down to a new deal haven't been successful so far. It is now an open secret that Real Madrid are planning to sign the 26-year-old on a Bosman move next summer.

While Liverpool remain desperate to keep Alexander-Arnold at Anfield, they may be powerless to stop him from leaving. The Reds are keeping their options open and have identified Gusto as a target.

The Frenchman has been quite impressive for Chelsea this season, registering two assists from 14 games. He is under contract until 2030 and the club have no desire to let him go. However, the Reds, as well as Manchester City, are ready to test the Blues' resolve in 2025.
